PTX 59B2-TC-A1-CA-H4-PN Pressure Transmitter

1. Product Overview

The PTX 59B2-TC-A1-CA-H4-PN is a high-precision industrial pressure transmitter designed for harsh process control environments. Engineered with advanced piezoresistive sensing technology, it delivers reliable and accurate pressure measurement for oil & gas, chemical processing, and industrial automation applications.

This model features a rugged stainless steel construction, corrosion-resistant materials, and a hermetically sealed design to ensure long-term stability and performance in extreme operating conditions, including high temperature and vibration environments.

2. Technical Specifications

  • Measurement Range: 0-100 bar (configurable up to 500 bar)
  • Output Signal: 4-20 mA (2-wire) with HART 7.0 communication
  • Accuracy: ±0.075% of full scale (including linearity, hysteresis, repeatability)
  • Operating Temperature: -40°C to +125°C (-40°F to +257°F)
  • Process Connection: 1/2" NPT male (stainless steel 316L)
  • Electrical Connection: Cable gland (PG9) / DIN 43650 A connector
  • Pressure Rating: 400% overload protection
  • Enclosure Rating: IP67 (NEMA 4X)
  • Power Supply: 10.5-45 VDC (loop-powered)

3. Installation Instructions

  1. Mount the transmitter in a vertical or horizontal orientation, ensuring minimal vibration exposure.
  2. Clean the process connection port to remove debris before installation.
  3. Torque the process connection to 55 N·m (40 ft-lb) using a calibrated torque wrench.
  4. Connect the 2-wire signal cable to the terminal block (polarity-sensitive: +V to positive, -V to negative).
  5. Seal all cable entry points to maintain IP67 enclosure rating.
  6. Apply power to the transmitter and verify output signal (4 mA at zero pressure, 20 mA at full scale).
  7. Calibrate the transmitter using HART communicator if necessary (refer to calibration section).

Important Safety & Maintenance Notes

- Installation and maintenance must be performed by certified personnel only.

- Isolate process pressure and disconnect power before servicing the transmitter.

- Do not exceed the maximum pressure or temperature ratings to prevent sensor damage.

- Perform periodic calibration (every 6-12 months) to maintain accuracy specifications.

- Avoid exposure to corrosive chemicals unless compatible with 316L stainless steel material.
